“Creativity and thinking out of the box excite me. Recently, [my boyfriend] Ming Jie and I quarrelled over some small issue. His way of dealing with things is not to talk about it whereas I’d want to solve the problem on the spot. But I’ve realised that, sometimes, we must learn how to do things the other person’s way. So instead of talking about it, I just let things cool down. Afterwards, I cooked soup and gave it to him, and that broke the ice. So when we learn how to think out of the box, we learn and grow from it. Another thing that excites me when I work with Ming Jie is his knowledge and background in acting. We have many scenes together on Life Less Ordinary. I’d ask him questions about acting. He majored in performing at the Shanghai Film Art Academy and I can learn a lot from him in areas where I’m lacking.”
